Spring 2014

Our sweet Cruz turned two April 24th! It is so amazing how much he is growing.  He was in the 3rd percentile for weight right before he got his feeding tube in November and now he is between the 25th-50th percentiles.  How awesome!  He is talking up a storm and def likes to be in the mix with the other kids.  Such a fun loving kid.  Love his happy-go-lucky disposition.  He shares a room with the Caleb and Zoey and loves being one of the big kids. He loves dinosaurs and guns.  Funny how the gun thing can be so innate.  We don't even have toy guns but he makes anything into a gun and loves making that "p-shoo" sound.  He loves any of the Toy Story movies-Buzz is his favorite toy.  He copies almost anything and everything the other kids say.  Who needs a parrot?
Here are the little guys all dressed up for Easter.  Love this pic.

The kids got their Easter baskets at my folks house.  We had a nice meal and the kids had a blast finding Easter eggs.
Zoey and Austin showing off their guns...
and sweet Tanner playing the role of Easter bunny.

Byron and I went to a friend's wedding.  It was so beautiful.  Love this pic of us.
And of my beautiful sister.  :)
Zoey and I having some fun.  My girl finished up  preschool for the year.  She will be going to VPK next year-5 half days a week. Getting so big.  She loves riding her bike with Caleb.  Favorite things to eat are frozen blueberries and strawberries.  I'm constantly amazed at the sassiness of this girl. Can only imagine what the teen years will hold.  Geez, louise! Her BFF by far is Caleb.  Her adoration for him can be a bit nauseating.  For instance, she got mad at him because he wasn't sharing with her.  I proceeded to tell him he needed to share then she turns right around and tells me, "it's ok, Mommy, Caleb can have whatever he wants." Doesn't make sense. She is def his biggest fan.
Caleb played baseball for the first time this year.  It was interesting for my uber competitive boy.  He doesn't understand the concept of "positions".  If he played outfield and a ball came near 3rd, he would race to wherever the ball was.  And he'd get so frustrated if he wasn't the first one to get that ball..Oh, boy! He also played soccer this fall and continues to get better.  Soccer is def his passion.  He says he wants to play football in the fall.  Not sure I can keep up with all these practices while keeping the other kids entertained.  It feels like I'm doing cardio the whole time just trying to wrangle Cruz!
These are from our trip to Legoland over Spring Break.  We left Cruz with my mom.  The kids had a blast!
Did I say Cruz keeps me on my toes? That's an understatement.  He is climbing on everything.  He can scale anything-chair or no chair.
He is starting to eat some.  Not much-but I'm thrilled it's anything.  He may eat 10 bites in a day.  Loves spaghetti, turkey and chicken.  Don't think he actually chews it but I'm happy he gets it to go down and goes back for more.  He still gets 4-8oz tube feeds a day with prescription formula.  I'm taking him to the allergist in a month in the hopes that his dairy allergy has improved.  It has severely limited high calorie things he could intake-not to mention other affordable formula.  Right now our insurance still does not cover his formula.  He goes through a can every other day.  Each can is $35. About $800 a month.
One of my favorite sights!!

I love these pictures-glad to see his self-image has improved..Ha! Seriously though, what a difference from August til May! Caleb has a fantastic art teacher at school that really brings out his creativity.

This is Zoey's preschool class pic.  She loves reading Pinkalicious books (above). Trevor was her best friend in school (bottom row, blue shirt).  She loves to play barbies and build with blocks.

Can you feel the love?  This is Trevor.  Such a sweetie!
Zoey loves baby Tanner.  She is so protective...such a lil mama (which is also my nickname for her).

Seriously, how cute is he?!

My budding musician.  No, we don't have drums at home.  No, we don't need any either.  :P

This was a Mother's Day tea with my favorite ladies (Denise, my cousin, Kimberly, my sister, and my mom).  Love my family so much. No pics of Cameron to share as Spring time was busy for him.  Have really enjoyed having time with him this summer.  He is changing schools and will be attending and playing soccer for Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers.  So excited for him.  More to share next time..
Took me so long to get this one off.  Already can't wait to share summer's pics! Hope you all are having a fabulous summer.  xoxo
