Cruz Sebastian Triplett

I have been dying to get this new post out to you but have been delayed by a few things.  Here is the last picture of us as a family of 5! The day after this was taken I thought I was in labor or having kidney stones.  We went to the hospital and indeed I had kidney stones and the pain from the stones were giving me fierce contractions, but I was not in labor. Since they couldn't do a CT scan to see where the blockage from the stones were, they had to put a port in my kidney to relieve the pressure.  I was in the hospital for 5 days and sent home with the port in my kidney.

The following Tuesday, April 24th, we checked in to the hospital again, this time to have our beautiful baby boy!  The c-section went very well and at 2:08pm we welcomed Cruz Sebastian Triplett.  He weighed 7 lbs. 3oz. and was 19 1/2 inches long.  He had swallowed some fluid and meconium so he had to stay in the NICU for 2 days with breathing problems.  Fortunately, everything resolved itself and he's been thriving ever since!  Thank you, God!!

I, however, was not doing so well.  They did a CT scan a few days after I had Cruz to see if I still had stones and discovered a new problem.  Yes, I still had some very small stones (I had already passed several larger ones) but they also found an abdominal hernia on my right side.  I should've probably titled this post "Kidney Stones, and C-Section and Hernia..Oh, My!".  They removed the port from my kidney and sent me home after another 5 day stay....at least this time I was going home with my precious boy.

It's been a rough recovery and I still have to have surgery on my hernia in a few weeks, but we are so lucky to have our healthy baby boy with us.  The kids just adore their new little bro.  When Zoey met him she lit up and kept saying, "Hey, baby, wassup?!" too cute.  Caleb can't stop hugging him and I think even Cam thinks he's pretty cool, too. He is officially two weeks old today and doing so well.  He's a very good baby....again, thank God!  Thank you all so much for the much needed prayers. They really helped. I'm still on bedrest until the surgery. It's been very challenging....so looking forward to being healthy and taking care of my family again. So grateful for so many friends and family who are helping us. Last year, I never would've imagined I'd have another blessing for Mother's Day but I'm absolutely thrilled that I do. So blessed!!!!
