On Friday, August 13th, 2010, the world got more beautiful!!! It was a lucky day because it is also the birthday of my nephew, Austin. So, the oldest and youngest grandchildren have the same birthday. :) It's been a hectic month! Sorry for the delay with pics, but I'm just starting to feel like a human again. Here are the pics of Zoey's birth. Is this the face of an excited expectant father or what?! It was a big surprise to have our girl early but B took it all in stride.
Daddy cutting the cord.

She was techinically 7.15.8 lbs-rounded up to an even 8lbs. Seems my diet of Dunkin Donuts was highly effective...especially since she was 3 weeks early from her due date!

Nana's first granddaughter!!! (5 amazing grandsons)

A very proud Aunt Kimberly. :)

My cousin Denise-bet she was glad I had another c-section! She helped me labor for the 36 hours with Caleb. This was much easier, huh, Denise?

Did I say this was her first granddaugher? :)

Naturally, she looks nothing like me. She looks more and more like Caleb and Byron every day but mainly from the nose down. Lucky for me I have such a good looking hubby!

Daddy was such a big help with me in the hospital! He's great at changing diapers!

This was the picture the hospital took. Of course, we had to wait to take it til we actually decided on a name. That was tough for us. In the end I think we got it right.

Leaving the hospital!!

Caleb meeting his sister! He couldn't come to the hospital because he ended up getting the flu again when I was in the hospital. Poor guy! Even though we read lots of books about becoming a big brother, we weren't sure how he'd react to our new addition.

He was great!!! He truly adores his little sister. I'll admit, he was very angry with me the first 4 days. Anytime I was in the room he became very aggressive towards me (luckily, not Zoey). But after that he's been great. I try to incorporate him into everything I can. He helps me change her diaper, getting me the wipes and diaper, he gets to pick out what she wears every day. He even helps me give her a bath. He kisses her on the head at least 5 times a day! Seeing how warm and loving he is to Zoey makes me love my little man even more..if that's possible. :)

Check out my beautiful family!!!!! Never dreamed I'd be this blessed!!

Ridiculously cute!!!

It is true. The moment I got home from the hospital, it seems like Caleb was suddenly so big. His personality is such a hoot! I think he's a mini-me of his dad. So funny, so charming and very ornery. :) Caleb said his first spontaneous "I love you" the other day. I held Zoey up and said, "Caleb, Zoey's looking at you." He looked at her and said, "Hi, Zoey, I love you!". Melt my heart!!

Caleb started going to pre-school last week. He only goes 2 half days a week. Wasn't sure how he'd do the first few days, after all, sometimes he cries when he leave him in the church nursery and that's only for an hour. Once again, my boy amazes me. He walked in with no problem and had a blast the whole time. In fact, he was mad I came to get him. I can't believe he's growing up so fast.

So far, Zoey has the exact same hair Caleb had when he was the same age. I'm hoping for those gorgeous curls her brothers have!

He loves for me to lay her down next to him.

And here is our darling girl at one month. She is already 9 lbs 14 oz. She's in the 75th percentile for weight and 50th for height. We had a rough few weeks of sleep until we discovered she has acid reflux disease. She's on medication and feeling much better, thank goodness. She's already growing out of her newborn clothes! I can see those rolls starting to form on her legs. Oh, how I love a chunky baby! We are enjoying every moment!

Hi Amy,
Long time. I glad to see everything is well. Your children are beautiful. Your daughter is so precious. Thanks for sharing.
I had a son in June and he is three months now. Romon is nine years old and is in fourth grade now!
We are truly blessed and I can remember our conversations in the classroom about our future. Lol
Take care
