10 months

Wow. 10 months. May was a great month. My first Mother's Day and my birthday. Mother's Day was so special, celebrating my family. Byron, for making me a mother. Cameron, for being the best stepson a girl could ever wish for. Caleb, for making my heart sing every single day. The picture above was taken at church on Mother's Day (unfortunately Cameron wasn't there with us). Our little one is certainly looking more like a boy and less like a baby. He weighs the same but is starting to thin out and lose that baby fat. He is SO active that it is hard for him to sit still enough to take the monthly photo! He still crawls like crazy and cruises around just about everywhere. He can even stand by himself, hands-free for several seconds. His balance is getting better and better. I thinks it's a safe bet to say he'll be walking before he turns one. He loves to "walk" with me around the house. He also enjoys his walker that we mainly use outside and using his toys that help him walk. You can tell by the look on his face that he is so proud of himself!

He was born to play soccer! It's funny, because I've never seen a baby so young with a natural inclination to play a sport. Caleb loves to kick the ball around. He watches Cameron do tricks with the ball, but no one showed Caleb how to kick it. He did it all on his own a few months ago. It's amazing to me!

Can we say "babyproof"? I've had to clear out a drawer in the kitchen just for Caleb so he doesn't go crazy with all the other ones. He loves to bang the pots and pans.

What a cutie in his Ireland soccer jersey. Thanks, Auntie Mara!

Another chore he likes to "help" me with is the laundry. Loves to jump on a big pile of clothes. taking the clothes in and out of the basket. If only he could learn how to fold instead of unfold.

Caleb loves his Bob the Builder tent that a friend gave us. He loves to crawl inside and yell for me to play peek-a-boo. It's so fun to see him get so excited every time I find him. Oh, to be a child again!

Caleb and I took swimming lessons this month. Okay, it was more like he got to play in the water with some other babies. He was taught how to kick his legs, which he occasionally did. He loves being in the water so much!! Favorite thing was splashing. I tried to teach him to put his face in the water and blow bubbles. In the beginning, he would drink the water but by the end he did put his face in without drinking it! More than anything we had fun.

Caleb now has 4 teeth! Top and bottom front teeth. You can see the top ones a little in this pic, they've come in even more now. Right now it looks like his top ones are going to have a gap. Hmm. Neither one of us has a gap so that would be funny. Gap or no gap he's still gorgeous! He can say bird (br), ball, (ba), dog (do), and now he says the "k" sound. His latest favorite phrase is "uh-oh". But the cutest thing is his favorite song- "Boom, Boom, Pow" by the Black Eyed Peas.
When he hears the song he starts to say "boom boom boom". Yeah, he jams with his mama. Adorable!

One of his new things (and cutest) is that he loves to put his head down and cuddle things. I love it!! How cute is this?

My handsome little man.

People keep asking me when am I going to cut his hair. Not any time soon. I absolutely love Caleb's curls. Check out how long it is when its wet!
You can tell he's slimming down. No more "baby boobs"!

Caleb could easily be in a movie-Don King..the early years. :)

After 2 naps, the hair can get a little crazy.

"If I sit here like an angel, maybe they won't notice the food on my face." :)

"If I stay very, very still, maybe she won't notice I'm not supposed to be up here."

My happy boy.
