8 months old!!

Our little man isn't so little anymore. He's a whopping 23 lbs. and 29 inches long. This month has been an exciting month of a lot of firsts. Caleb crawled for the first time on March 17th! He went to the beach for the first time. He pulled himself up for the first time. I cannot believe how much he is learning in such a short time! He is learning his "b" sounds and can occasionally say Bye-bye. He can wave hi and bye. He loves some songs on the tv. It's so funny how he will completely stop whatever he's doing to watch these songs-he loves the Bumble Bee Tuna commercial (drives me nuts, but he loves it) and the theme songs to Law and Order and the Young and the Restless. Too funny.

Here are the boys. Cameron recently got a mohawk and wears it very well. His middle school years are coming to end. Can't believe he'll be freshman in high school in a few months. Cameron loves to get Caleb crawing all over the house. He puts a soccer ball or remote control in front of him and gets him going. I am a truly lucky girl to be surrounded by these handsome boys!

Caleb is showing you his sky diving skills. Since both mom and dad have been sky diving, it could be in his future. :)

Uncle David is trying to teach Caleb how to crawl. It's quite a sight to see my parents and my brother crawling on the living floor with Caleb. I shouldn't knock it, I think it actually worked.

He loves making this face-snorting through his nose. I love it!

Of course, his big motivation to learn to crawl is to get my parent's dog, Roxy. Poor dog is now terrified and may need puppy prozac.

He loves his new found freedom.

What a sweet face!
Our first trip to the beach was great! There was so much to look at-the people, the seagulls, the waves, the sand. He loved it! We've been several times since. I'm relishing in the fact that he likes to just sit and watch people. I know this will be short lived and we'll be on the move soon.

The sand didn't even phase him.

One of my faves!

Love this one.

7 Months!!

Caleb is 7 months old! He now weighs 22 lbs and already wears a size 12 months. He can sit up by himself for a long time. He rolls every which way and is very close to crawling. He is a very busy boy. It's all I can do to get him to sit still for his 7 month picture! Can anyone say baby-proof?

I have put way too many pictures in this post, but there were so many good ones to share!! Caleb loves being outside. He is fascinated with how his feet feel in the grass. What a gift to see things through his eyes!

When it comes to eating baby food, Caleb is not the biggest fan. It was a struggle to get him to eat. Finally one day, after making a mess and hardly eating a thing, I decided to go ahead and him the spoon he had been so desperately grasping at. Wouldn't you know he fed himself with no problem! So that's what you were trying to tell me. Here's the pics of him feeding himself.

I think that independence might give me problems in the near future. :P He continues to talk up a storm creating the most inventive sounds. He says Da-Da, Ma-Ma and Nana. He is so aware of everything around him. He even tries to pick up his shadow. He loves to shake his head no, but is unaware of the meaning so far.
We love to be outside and go on walks and to the park. I'll be taking him to the beach soon! Can't wait for that one!

He loves to look at himself in the mirror, much like the other boys in the house. :)

He is such a happy boy. I just can't get enough of him!

I think he's actually saying "cheese" in this picture. He looks like such a little boy here.

He is inches away from crawling. He gets on all fours and rocks. I'm sure he could do it if I untied his leg. :P He's so busy already...can't imagine how much weight I'll lose when I have to chase after him!
I've heard of man-boobs before, but baby boobs? Someday he'll hate that I put this one in here.

Until next time....
