6 months and the nesting phase has begun! This last week was my Spring Break, so I tried to get the baby's room in order-cleaning it out, getting ready to paint. Our 6th month appointment went well. I've gained a total of 20 pounds so far. I definitely feel the baby kick more, which always puts a smile on my face. I have a torn upper abdominal muscle, which can be painful, but otherwise, things are good. Going to try to get this baby used to traveling, as I am going to see a girlfriend in NYC next weekend for my annual visit. Hopefully, the baby will love the Big Apple as much as I do. I registered at Babies R Us this week. What a process that is! I'm so thankful for my friends and relatives that I've been able to consult with on what I need. It's a bit overwhelming to think of all the things we will need. Cameron is amazed at how big I am getting and Byron has been the foot rub king-spoiling me with foot rubs without even requesting it. In 2 weeks I go in for the glucose test for gestational diabetes. I will keep you posted. It's amazing to me how many people come up to me and want to tell me what the sex of the baby is-even complete strangers. I think this baby wants to keep it a mystery as well, as I think I'm pretty down the middle-not carrying too high or too low at this point. It kicks high and low. The baby's heartbeat is in the mid 150's, nice and strong. I haven't had any cravings, but I have had aversions. I'm usually lactose intolerant but being pregnant has put that on hold for a while, so I've really enjoyed eating ice cream again. Can't get enough Jamoca Almond Fudge! I don't think my hair and nails have grown abundantly, as with some women. So what about you? Any guesses? I'd love your comments!
