4 months already!

Time flies! We are already 4 months pregnant. Feeling much better since entering the 2nd trimester.  This is such a strange and wonderful experience.  There's a new feeling almost every other day.  From the stretching of abdominal ligaments (ouch!) to heartburn to peeing 4 times in an hour.  The body truly is amazing!  It's like you trade in one symptom for another.  Luckily, I'm not as tired and the nausea has gone away-the worst of the symptoms.  Hearing the heartbeat at our 16 week appointment still brings tears to my eyes.  I've only gained 7 lbs so far, but it seems like more to me because it's all in my belly.  Mostly wearing maternity clothes.  Have had to become a MacGyver of the maternity world, figuring out various contraptions to use so I can still wear my regular pants (rubber bands and paperclips have been very useful).  It's very strange to see myself get bigger.  I know it's all part of being pregnant, but I'm just not used to it. Luckily, I have a wonderful husband and stepson to help me.  As I've said, we are not going to find out the sex of the baby, but Cameron has put in his order for a boy. Byron and I are looking forward to the surprise and will be thrilled with a boy or a girl.  And I think we all know what my mom wants!  This baby will definitely be loved!
